Birth Photographer Birmingham, Al

There are a few moments in life you never forget—this is one of them.
It’s a day filled with so many things: pain, excitement, fatigue, and joy all wrapped into one.
You won’t remember every detail, but you’ll remember the moment they were placed in your arms.
You’ll remember the sound of their cry and the way time seemed to stop.
You’ll remember how it felt to become a Mom.

Birth photography isn’t about documenting everything - It’s about remembering the things that mattered most.

If you want someone in the room who sees the beauty in the real and the raw—
I’d be honored to tell your story.

Photo Session FAQ’s

  • As soon as you know your induction date. I take only a few birth clients each year to make sure I can be fully available, so early booking is essential.

  • We’ll stay in close contact throughout the day.

Most inductions allow for a bit of pacing, and I’ll be there during active labor and delivery. If more time is needed, we’ll handle that with care and flexibility.

  • Nope—I step in and out throughout the day depending on what’s happening and what you’re comfortable with. I understand the need for some privacy, especially during long labors or quiet moments, and I balance that well with making sure the important parts of your story are documented. My goal is to be present without being intrusive—you can trust that I’ll read the room and honor your space.

  • If your induction results in a C-section and the hospital allows photography, I’ll be there. Every story is different, and I’ll work with you to honor yours.

  • Birth rarely goes exactly as planned, and I completely understand that. If your induction date shifts, just keep me in the loop. Because I only take a few births each year, I’m often able to adjust as needed. We'll stay in close communication and make a plan that works, even if things move a little earlier or later than expected.

  • My focus is always on emotion, connection, and storytelling. I’ll capture as much as I can in a modest, respectful way, and we’ll talk ahead of time about what you’re comfortable with.

  • Yes, absolutely! I encourage a quick consult or FaceTime/phone call before the big day to talk through your preferences, answer questions, and help you feel fully prepared.

  • Hospital policies can vary, so it’s a good idea to ask ahead of time. If photography isn’t allowed during delivery, I can still document labor and the moments right after birth in a way that respects those guidelines. I’ll work with you to make the most of what’s possible.

  • Yes, I do. A retainer is required to book your session, and the remaining balance can be paid in installments before your due date. I’m happy to work with you on a schedule that fits.

  • Yes! Many clients choose to bundle birth and newborn sessions to tell the full story. If you’re interested in both, let me know and I can walk you through options.
