A newborn photo session with the most wonderful parents is a photographers dream… and this sweet family was right on the mark!

When Mom reached out to me a few days after she welcomed her baby, she was a little concerned that she had contacted me too late. To which my answer was “there is no such thing as too late”! There is not hard rule about when to photography newborn babies. Some people prefer the sleepiness of the first week and some prefer the more alert babies that are a little older.

Another deciding factor about when to schedule your newborn photo shoot is your emotional and physical state. Pregnancy and labor can take a toll on your body and sometimes you don't feel up to a session within the first week. The main goal of your newborn photoshoot is to create lasting memories for you and your little one, whether captured right away or a few weeks later. Rest assured, you'll cherish these wonderful memories regardless of when you choose to schedule the session.

This sweet couple had recently celebrated a marriage and then had the joy of welcoming this beautiful child into the world. I am delighted that I was part of celebrating such a wonderful time in their lives!
