School Photo Day Is Coming Up!

Hi!

I’m Kristie and I so excited to have the opportunity to provide you with school portraits! My goal is to provide a fun and relaxed experience for your kids, and an easy but personal experience to their families.

What should my child wear?

Quick Tips: Avoid Neons and Graphics. Instead opt for neutral solids and classic styles.


When do I get my photos and how do I order?

Within two weeks of your child’s photo day, you will be e-mailed the link to an online digital gallery. There will be 2-4 images of each child. You will be able to choose which image you would like to print or download. You will be able to order prints, canvas wraps, and digital files directly from the viewing gallery. The ordering process is simple and secure. The gallery will be live for seven 14 days.


Quick Tip for Younger Kids:

  • Communicate with your child’s teacher about any specific preferences for photo day! For example, if your child has wavy or curly hair and you’d prefer it not to be brushed or combed before photos, let the teacher know—or remind your child to speak up. A little heads-up can help ensure their photos reflect how they normally look!

  • If your child is wearing a layered outfit (like a jacket over a nice shirt) and you want the jacket removed for the photo, let the teacher know—or remind your child in advance. Sometimes kids keep jackets or sweaters on, even if it's not what you intended for the photo.

  • If your child wears glasses and you want to make sure they keep them on (or take them off) for the photos. I may suggest removing them to avoid glare, but if you prefer your child to wear them, it's helpful to communicate that in advance.

There are countless little details that might come up, and I can’t possibly cover every situation. However, these are some of the most common ones! Take a moment to think about anything specific to your child or household, and be sure to communicate it with the teacher.
